What is Curious Arts Festival?

Curious Arts Festival is a fresh and exciting event transforming Toowoomba, Australia, each year.

We are excited to be bringing our curious brand of fun back to the Empire Theatre Precinct from Tues 29 March through to Sat 2 April 2022.  

The festival kicks off with The Garden of Curiosity on Tues 29 March located in the Church Theatre with schools activities, workshops and curious ideas.  

The feature program of circus, dance, contemporary music and cabaret explodes across Toowoomba's arts precinct on Fri 1 and Sat 2 April 2022.

Delve into the new and the future.  Explore and discover quirky, fun and unusual work by a curious blend of nationally celebrated Queensland-based artists.

Our colourful program reimagines Toowoomba's favourite performing and arts spaces through a fun and COVID-safe festival.   A variety of exciting performing arts events showcasing dance, circus, ideas, cabaret, music and family entertainment offer plenty of opportunities for audiences to safely explore and experience exciting new performances from top artists.

Treat yourself to a taster of some of the astounding creativity in our region.
